An exploration of light and colour in paint
Step into the luminous world of Claude Monet and Impressionism in this painting workshop guided by Carlo Tozzi, founder and art curator of st-Art. Coinciding with the anniversary of Monet’s birth, this special session celebrates one of the most influential figures of the Impressionist movement and explores the ideas and techniques that shaped his unique approach to painting.
Carlo leads the studio’s artistic vision and brings a contemporary yet historically informed approach to teaching, helping participants understand both the techniques and artistic ideas behind major movements and artists in art history.
In this session, you’ll explore how Monet captured fleeting light, changing colour, atmosphere, and everyday scenes. You’ll create your own painting inspired by his approach, focusing on observation, colour, brushwork, and atmosphere rather than fine detail.

• Explore how Monet used colour and brushwork to capture changing light and atmosphere
