“I Am the Place” - Solo Exhibition
Exhibition: 26 September -30 November 2025, st-Art Gallery, Amsterdam.
Artist: Calì
On September 26th, opening of “I am the Place” exhibition by Calì, we had an amazing evening with lifelong friends, new faces, and first-time visitors in an atmosphere filled with presence, curiosity, and laughter.
The evening carried a sense of warmth and discovery that made the space come alive. Calì’s work explores intimacy, courage, and the search for belonging within oneself. As guests moved through the exhibition, their connection with the paintings — and with each other — reflected the spirit of st-Art: a space where creativity builds confidence, connection becomes possible, and curiosity is always welcome.
Beyond the exhibition walls, the event also supported the Gaza Soup Kitchen, a grassroots community feeding thousands every day, st-Art is donating its share to this initiative. Learn more or contribute here: https://gazasoupkitchen.org/
We are so thankful of all the people who participated and made this beginning so meaningful. This exhibition is not just about the paintings on the walls. It is about all of us, coming together in art, in community and in hope.
The exhibition remains open through 30 November, with opportunities for private visits for those wishing to experience the work in a more intimate setting with one of our curators or with Carlo.
Here we share some unforgettable moments full of emotions and creativity, and the video of full speech of our founder, Carlo Tozzi, on Cal'ì’s works, her talent and her courage in being herself.
“I Am the Place is an anthem to freedom of expression. It shows the artist defenceless in her intimacy. But let’s go a little bit more deep. Relax… allow yourself to dive deep in her color, her techniques and her nuances, the moment which you understand the language of the artist, you open a dialogue, Calì is great in creating a connection between social space and intimacy, public and private. ”
