Calì
Calì is an italian artist whose love for creating started early, shaped by a strong artistic background. Her work encourages viewers to look at things differently - diving into colorful worlds where the usual rules don't apply. As she puts it, her paintings "always hide what we've stopped noticing - spaces of today that have lost their sound and story."
Her art is full of movement and energy, with light and color taking center stage emerging as the true protagonists of her compositions. She's especially drawn to the complexities of modern life, often exploring themes like memory and consumer culture.
Calì has shown her work in Italy and abroad. A key chapter in her journey was her time in New York, where studying the greats helped shape her artistic voice. Today she's based in Scalea, a town in southern Italy, where she runs her studio, Maison Calì - a space for creative exploration and conversation.
To inhabit the Mediterranean in its decay is an act of listening: among peeling walls, exposed stones, and ancient silences, architecture does not surrender to time but embraces it. Here, lived experience becomes material, and ruin becomes home, memory, and landscape.

Explores the primordial idea of shelter: a minimal, intimate, abstract space where form is not function, but memory. A fragile, inhabitable void, built on the threshold between protection and isolation. It does not represent, but evokes — an absence that becomes place.

A time that halts, a space that fractures. ‘Discontinuity’ is the poetic gesture of the incomplete — of the void that interrupts and recreates.

The painting in its central part represents the rough and uncultured crowd. The choice of the color red is not random, red indicates power. Beauty will not save the world, but it will save itself from the crowd.

Blooming Elsewhere’ is an image of a missed blossoming in one’s place of origin. Nature, weary or disillusioned, bears no fruit where it is expected, but seeks more suitable soil elsewhere. An artwork that speaks of waiting, disappointment, and the silent migration of life.
