Amsterdam Houses in Watercolor – A Charming Urban Sketching Workshop

Capture the magic of Amsterdam’s iconic architecture in this inspiring watercolor workshop guided by artist Paulina Siniatkina. Paulina is a st-Art instructor and visual artist based in Amsterdam. Trained in monumental painting at the Surikov Art Institute and with a Master’s in socially engaged art from ArtEZ, she brings over a decade of teaching experience. Her work blends creativity with social awareness, inspiring students to explore and express with confidence.

In this session, we’ll turn our attention to the whimsical beauty of Amsterdam’s canal houses—those tall, narrow façades, charming gables, and crooked windows that define the city’s charm. Ideal for artists looking to deepen their watercolor practice through architecture and atmosphere.

What You’ll Learn:

🏘️ Observe and paint Amsterdam houses, focusing on perspective, detail, and composition.

🎨 Explore watercolor techniques such as washes, layering, and color harmony.

🖋️ Use fine liners and gel pens to bring out textures, outlines, and architectural features.

🖼️ Complete an Amsterdam-themed piece ready to take home or gift to someone who loves the city.

All materials are provided—just bring your creativity and appreciation for the beauty of Amsterdam!

This workshop is best suited for those with prior painting experience, preferably in watercolor, and is not suitable for beginners.

Coffee&Tea and cookies will also be included to make your Amsterdam Watercolor Workshop experience even more enjoyable.
