Beyond the Ordinary: Abstract Painting & Truffle Tea Workshop

Discover the vibrant world of oil pastels

Discover new ways to explore your creativity in this collaborative workshop by st-Art and Happy Tea, combining abstract acrylic painting with an introduction to adaptogenic tea and optional truffle microdosing.

You’ll explore colour, shape, and pattern to create your own vibrant abstract painting. Through simple blending techniques and intuitive mark-making, you’ll experiment with different possibilities and discover how a few basic techniques can open up a world of creative expression. No previous painting experience is needed. The workshop is designed to be beginner-friendly, with plenty of room for personal interpretation and creative freedom.

Happy Tea will introduce their adaptogenic tea blends, explain the ingredients and their intended effects, and guide participants through preparing their tea, including the optional addition of a 2 g truffle dose, known as a “museum dose.” This is a gentle, functional dose: it’s not about tripping or hallucinating. You’ll stay clear-headed and present, just a little more open, light and attuned to what’s around you. Enough to make something like art look more interesting!

Many artists, writers and makers use low doses of psilocybin to loosen habitual thinking and reconnect with a more playful, curious way of seeing. People often describe colours feeling a bit richer, getting more absorbed in what they’re making, and the inner critic quieting just enough to let ideas flow.

Sara, founder of Happy Tea, will be there throughout to guide you, help you find the right dose for you, and make sure you feel comfortable and at ease from start to finish. Whether it’s your first time or you’re already familiar with truffles, you’re in good hands.

We’ll enjoy our tea together before easing into the painting session, allowing time for the experience to unfold as you experiment with colour, shape and pattern. There’s no right or wrong outcome. The focus is on process, presence, and seeing what emerges when you give yourself permission to play.

Join us for an afternoon of art, tea, and experimentation in a welcoming space where you can explore new techniques and enjoy creating something uniquely your own.

All materials included, drinks and snacks. All levels welcome!
